Business / Contract
- Plaintiff, a physician, entered into an oral contract with defendant to provide management services for her medical practice. Separately, she also leased office space from defendant. The defendant was to submit statements of her hours as office manager, but never did. She paid herself since she was in charge of paychecks. As landlords, defendants changed locks and prevented plaintiff from operating her practice, but opened the space after a wrongful eviction lawsuit by the doctor. The doctor brought this action to recover lost revenue and for other alleged improper conduct, including harassment, fraud, misappropriation of funds, and negligent performance of duties.
